WHAT IS CONFERENCE OF PARTIES (COP)?

The Conference of the Parties (COP) is the highest decision-making body under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), bringing countries together each year to strengthen climate action, review progress and shape global solutions for a sustainable future.


COP brings Parties together to:

  • Review the implementation of the Convention
  • Assess global progress
  • Negotiate new agreements and decisions
  • Strengthen international cooperation on climate action

MALAYSIA AT THE FOREFRONT OF GLOBAL CLIMATE ACTION

As a Party to the UNFCCC, Malaysia actively participates in the annual COP to contribute to international climate negotiations, share national experiences and strengthen cooperation with global partners. The Conference provides an important platform for Malaysia to exchange knowledge, foster collaboration and demonstrate its commitment to addressing climate change through sustainable and inclusive development.

The Malaysia Pavilion serves as Malaysia's official platform at the Conference of the Parties (COP), showcasing the nation's climate initiatives, sustainability efforts and innovative solutions to the international community. It brings together government agencies, businesses, academia, youth, civil society and development partners to exchange ideas, foster partnerships and promote meaningful dialogue throughout the Conference.

Through curated programmes, networking opportunities and knowledge-sharing sessions, the Malaysia Pavilion strengthens Malaysia's presence on the global stage while supporting international collaboration towards shared climate goals.
