WELCOMING MALAYSIAN DELEGATES

[SALUTATION] 

Esteemed guests, distinguished speakers and ladies and gentlemen, 

1. A heartfelt welcome to all Malaysian delegates who joining us at the  UNFCCC-COP28 in Dubai. This year, we are truly grateful for the  overwhelming response from stakeholders representing various  sectors, including key ministries, agencies, state government, private  sectors, financial institutions, NGOs and academia.  

2. This year the Ministry have registered over 600 delegates - the  largest Malaysian delegation ever for COP. This remarkable turnout  underscores our commitment and efforts to contribute meaningfully  to the global action on climate change. 

3. We are honoured to announce the gracious presence of His Royal  Highness Yang di-Pertuan Agong at the World Climate Action  Summit which scheduled for tomorrow. His Royal Highness Yang di-Pertuan Agong will launch the Malaysia Pavilion tomorrow at 3.45pm I extend a warm welcome to all delegates to be here tomorrow.  

4. I am also pleased to share that YB Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, Minister of  NRECC will deliver the national statement during the Resume High Level Segment. YB Minister of Foreign Affairs, YB Minister of Health,  YB Minister of Local Government Development and also YB Minister  of International Trade also will be presence at COP28. 

Ladies and gentlemen, 

5. The Malaysian Pavilion will feature over 60 distinguished speakers,  28-panel discussions, multiple bilateral meetings, and cultural  performance throughout the conference. To our sponsors, members  of the advisory and consultative panels and our speakers, you are  the backbone of our showcase, telling Malaysia's climate action story  in the most impactful way possible. 

6. To all Malaysia delegates, we would be grateful if you could also actively promote the pavilion. I also encourage the Malaysian  delegates to make the most of your time here by exploring other  pavilions and side events.  

7. Thanks again for your commitment, dedication, and presence here  today. Let us work together, making COP28 a milestone in our going  beyond journey.
